SatLink Hub Systems

In the SatLink system the hub acts as the master of the MF-TDMA network by broadcasting one or more continuous mode TDM Forward Links to the VSATs in the network and controlling all timing in the network. In a star topology network the hub is also the traffic gateway to the terrestrial network. In a mesh topology network selected VSATs may become the primary traffic gateways and the hub's functions may be reduced to control and management.

The SatLink Enterprise Hub is a complete system for DVB-RCS networks with DVB-S2 and DVB-S forward link support. Optimized for IP networking via satellite it offers versatility and scalability. With capacity for 500 VSATs in its baseline configuration, plus growth potential up to 4 non-redundant forward links and thousands of VSATs it is ideal for private networks, small ISPs and special purpose deployments. Redundancy for key components is offered according to user requirements. The Enterprise Hub may be upgraded to the SatLink Carrier-Class Hub offering system-wide high-availability and massive scalability.

The SatLink Carrier-Class Hub is a high-availability system for DVB-RCS networks with DVB-S2 and DVB-S forward link support. Optimized for IP networking via satellite it offers unprecedented versatility, reliability and scalability. In its baseline configuration it delivers capacity for 2500 VSATs, fast-failover redundancy in all core components, and growth potential up to 10 forward links and tens of thousands of VSATs, making it ideal for carrier networks, large ISPs and large private IP networks, including large carrier VoIP networks.
